Leader of the PAC

Edgewood ISD is proud to celebrate the first Leaders of the PAC for the school year—exceptional individuals who embody our district’s core values of Professionalism, Accountability, and Communication. These honorees also reflect the leadership qualities defined in our Leadership Definition Framework, setting a powerful example for our entire community.

This recognition extends beyond the classroom. Following the devastating July 4th floods in the Texas Hill Country, several EISD employees stepped up in extraordinary ways to support relief efforts. Stafford VPA’s Elliott Rios and Melissa Machado, along with Larry Machado from Perales Elementary, dedicated three days to preparing hot meals for flood victims and emergency responders—bringing comfort and nourishment when it was needed most. Memorial High School Culinary Arts teachers, Chef Megan Tapia and Chef Chris Hancock, joined forces with the national disaster response team Operation BBQ Relief, serving hearty BBQ meals to first responders, relief workers, and displaced residents.

In an effort to lead with compassion and strength, the Edgewood ISD Police Department organized two supply drives, filled a box truck with essential relief items, and personally delivered them to impacted communities. Officers also assisted in search and recovery efforts across several days. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sergeant Terrazas and the entire team who dedicated their time to helping others.

Together, these individuals exemplify what it means to lead with heart, purpose, and community spirit. Edgewood ISD is honored to recognize their contributions. To hear their stories as our Leaders of the PAC click HERE.
