Hello my name is Jennifer Ramirez and I am one of the proud 4th Grade Teachers at Perales Elementary School. I have previously taught at Stafford Elementary here in Edgewood for the past 15 years. In those 15 years I have taught a number of different grade levels including Pre K, Kinder, 1st, 3rd and now 4th. Now I am here at the Perales ACE School and very excited to meet all of you and get our year started in a very productive and positive way!
I was born and raised here in San Antonio, TX. I attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where I received my Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Outside of work I enjoy traveling and being immersed in culture and food. I love spending time with my family and friends and with my fur baby Arwen.
My purpose as a teacher is to model, motivate and inspire my students to reach their full potential and believe in themselves. I instill that if they start now and begin with the end in mind they can be who they want to be in this world, but it will come with hard work, perseverance, and a positive mindset. In order to do that we must first build relationships of trust and mutual respect so that our students know that we truly love and care about their well-being and future. Once that relationship is built, together, we can climb mountains!
These are challenging times, but together we will start this journey. I am your teacher, I am here for you and your future matters. Fourth grade is going to be an awesome year and we are going to get through it smiling, laughing, and rocking and rolling!
